ARK (Acts of Random Kindness)

ARK  is a cross denominational Christian outreach group. The purpose of the group is to take Jesus to our community by meeting the needs of the people and showing them His love.

ARK is currently made up of 12 active ministries and persons are welcome to get involved with one, many or all! All teams meet 1st and 3rd Monday night at 6:00 PM at a central location, currently Covenant Life Church (behind Starbucks). Anyone and everyone is encouraged to come to these meetings as often as possible as this is where the planning for our outreach takes place.

ARK has 3 scheduled monthly outreach which are

  1. an outdoor work day (yard cleanup , snow and ice removal)
  2. a Sunday feeding the homeless (last Sunday of the month at First Baptist Church)
  3. “Monthly Special”  (varies from month to month)

Past “Monthly Specials” include serenading hospitals patients who had to be in the hospital on Valentine’s Day, singing and providing gifts for nursing home residents and staff, providing comfort items for the local Cancer clinic, blessing our civil servants (police and firemen) and joining forces with other organizations and churches in functions like Feed the Neighborhood, Community of Believers and the Enid Ministerial Alliance.

ARK also works closely with Hope Outreach, Forgotten Church, CDSA and the City of Enid to assist people with special needs that arise that may not be covered by other programs.

Each person that hooks up with ARK is encouraged to live daily looking for opportunities to help or to bless others in need. We believe it is time to take Jesus out of the building and into our world so that people will truly see who He is and how much He loves.  We love the saying “Jesus has left the building” . He is going out to the people through us.
